I am the daughter of James Mattis. He was once very active in this community. Due to my mothers passing I have aquired his knife inventory. It has become apparent to me that it is a lot more complex than what I first realized.

I am looking for old friends of his that would be willing to give me guidance in the best way to sell these knives.

Sharon,
I can't help you with your Dad's knives. I did want to say that I'm sorry that your Mom passed. Of course you know how much we loved your Dad here. I never had the chance to meet him in person, but he was a true friend from the day I joined BFC until the day he passed. We spent many hours on Chat as well as posts here.

I'm sure someone will be along directly to help you.

Sharon,

I will be glad to help out to get fair prices for those. (No charge on my part.)
(I will also try to talk you into saving a few for family members now and in the future.)

Drop me a line if you wish gusk"at"bellsouth.net

Your dad and I participated here and on TKCL (email list). He will always be dear to us.

I would trust Gus over just about anyone to handle such a matter. You would be in very good hands.

Sorry to hear about your mother.

Your Dad was a great part of what makes this a special place.

Gus is a great guy and I would trust him to handle this with the greatest care.

Sharon, your father was one of the first with whom I exchanged correspondence after joining BladeForums and I always forund him respectful, honest, and cordial, even to grouchy newcomers. I had nothing but the highest respect for him and I was so sorry to hear of his death. I am similarly sorry to hear of your Mother's death. Please accept my condolences and my prayers.

I would like to thank everyone for there kind words. I am very proud of my father. It is nice to know how much he is loved and missed in this forum. Words cannot explain the waves of emotion it brings to me when reading what so many have written about him.

My mother passed away in January. Thank you all for your condolences.
