Kelly,
I am totally shocked. This is awful news. I respected James so much and this is very sad indeed. He will be missed. He was a fine example of a gentleman.

My sincere condolences to his family.

Prayes to the Mattis family.

James was always a pleasure to talk to. He will be remembered as a gentleman and a scholar. My condolances to his family.

I am very sad to hear this news. James Mattis loved knives as much as anybody could and always had a good nature manner in his posts. I extend my best wishes to his family at this terrible time.

I regret to be the bearer of bad news but it was just confirmed in chat that services for James Mattis will be held at Mt. Sinai.

A fine Gentleman. He will be Greatly Missed on chat and here on the Forums.

May God Richly Bless You James and Toni Mattis!

I have reopened the thread.

I will make an official tread and post soon. I am at a loss for words at the momment and near tears.

More tomorrow.

I will miss you Jim.

It can not be........

If there is anthing, Please let us know, it will be.

We never met but I feel like we did.....

Our prayers are with him.

My thouhgts and prayers are with Toni and the Mattis family. Our community has lost one of it's finest. James will be dearly missed and fondly thought of.

I posted over in the knife community. I still don't know what to say. James will be leaving an empty spot here on the forums that will be very hard to fill. I just feel the better for having known him the short time that I did.

John
