Every once in a while folks reccomend musicians, so I'll plug Mr. McMurtry. Yes, he is the son of novelist Larry McMurtry. (never read his stuff....)
McMurtry is one of those singer-songwriters in the "contemporary folk/alternative country" vein, fitting in with folks the like of Guy Clark, Rober Earl Keen, et al.
I figure anyone who can throw in a line about Berdan-primed ammo should fit in well with the BF crowd...
I just bought his new live album, "Live in Aught-Three". Other standouts are "St. Mary of the Woods" and "Too Long In the Wasteland".
