Whodathunkit? That a person could find treasure in Janesville, WI of all places. Here's proof that it's possible. The big un has over an 11" blade of forged L6, with nickel silver fittings and cocobolo handle. The smaller one has a 6" blade of forged 1084, with nickel silver guard and buttcap, copper spacers and African Blackwood handle. Kevin Cashen did an outstanding job on these two(as usual).

Another pic, from a different angle. I think I like this pic better than the others.

Amazingly, the edge is ground just as thin on the big un as on the smaller one.

Danbo,

Let me know when you decide to part with the little one! ;)

Best,

Peter

everything about that pair rings my bell..floats my boat...puts wind in my sails...awesome catch Dan

Really some terrific knives..!

I really don't know which I like best either.., but they sure are beauties!

Yep, those are nice.

It was so crowded Friday evening I couldn't hardly move. Well worth the drive though.

Love that big one -- I bet you could clear a few acres with that puppy.

You mentioned a month or so ago that you were to take delivery of these Cashens at the Janesville show and a tone of eager anticipation leaked through your normally cool conversational style. Now that I have seen your photos of them I understand why.

They are both truly outstanding. Each one is a beauty, but I am particularly taken with the smaller of the two - the blade shape and the African Blackwood are striking.

Thanks for letting us have a look at them.

Terrific knives both. As you could probably guess, the big one really floats my boat. It's not a blade shape I have seen from Kevin before, but the whole thing just flows so well. The lines speak eloquently of both power a grace. Congrats, ya bastid!

Roger

Danbo - I have been keeping an eye out for you every since the Little Rock Show. Seeing you travel up and down the aisles with that nice Jason Knight blade flying around was scary.
But, just like the Knight score, that 11" Cashen is a great catch.
