I was up in Japntown today.. (damn love those crepes
) and was flipping thru "Knives Catalog" a Japanese knife magazine.. I saw some pretty COOL BM t shirts. (as well as Spyderco and MT etc..)
these shirts are MUCH better than the nasty drab american counterparts.. some of the cooler ones were "Rave" style and digital designs, as well as that darwin type guy with the hands (sorry I dont know the name of it
) but with folders.. and also a pinwheel of civilian blades..
one REAL interesting pic was a BRIGHT ORANGE shirt with a BM weehawk - it was fat and cartoonlike.. had a sort of austin powers feel to the caricature of the blade
If I can duplicate the shirt somehow I will try. But you know those fat infaltable hammers in carnivals? imagine an infalatable BM 403. There were other balis shirts proudly emboassing BENCHMADE next to THE knife. Prolly very unPC to sell in the USA.
I know that cause them Jap(n)s are such fanatic collectors they get special attention from american companies with "japan only" merchandise (ie Emerson, Strider to say the least) - but I wish I could get that shirt easily and not be stuck with the billboard shirts they have in BM USA.
No i didnt buy the mag. that ad was the ony cool thign gthere..
then again it coudl have been illegal shirts but hey
. to have a shirt that is liscenced by BM and has a bali in e US.. gawrsh..
