Japan Sourced Steel

A friend of mine brought me a well built liner lock from Argentina with the only identifying mark etched on the blade - Japan Sourced Steel. I entered that in google & not much but a reference to South America. Sorry, I don't know how to post pictures on this site but it is pictured on the Knifeforum site, General Dicussion section. I asked the same question. Anyobdy familiar with this company (Japan Sourced Steel)?

I think " Japan Sourced Steel" is not a company name. I think it means the knife manufacturer bought Japanese steel rather than steel made in Argentina. I would take this to be on the order of the knives I used to see which advertised "Solingen Steel".

For sure. I have at least a few bolos from those. And there is also the bearing steel.
