Actually, I thought you were from Europe as they use the decimal as a comma in many cases.:) I assume it is used for forging? Does concentrating the weight over a smaller area help for certain techniques?
 
Serbia is in Europe, and the hammer you're right, I use it for forging knives. Excuse my bad English.
 
Neat hammer! I'd love to see some of your knives and axes.

I am curious; How hard would you temper the head on a hammer that will be striking steel or iron all day? Is it all one hardness or is it deferentially heat treated?
