To be honest, I haven't been able to find this knife specifically on any of the Japanese knife sites.

With similarly priced natas the steel was white steel. With blades like this, but twice the price it was blue steel. In the end, I just don't know which it is. The maker is Tosa. Sorry, that's all I can tell you.
