Wanna see some absolutly stunning photographs of knives (many custom)??
Check out the Japanese Knife Magazine (Name: KNIFE:D ) if you can get your hands on.
Don't need to be able to read japanese.... just admire these pictures from real photograph artists:cool:
I know many Magazines (US, German, French...) but not one with this quality in pictures.
My wife is Japanese and so I get every year to Japan and the first thing after landing in Tokyo is....go strait to the next bookstore!

If someone goes to Japan in the future...TRY IT

I have seen quite a few of the knives in my collection in the magazine. If anyone knows how to subscribe to it please post the information. I agree that the photography in it is second to none.

I am proud to say that Tom Ferry and I will be sharing a page in the October issue with Timascus knives, and there should be a picture of Chuck Bybee, Bill Cottrell, Tom, and I from the Blade Show.

You are absolutely correct, the magazine is stunning. Every photo and the entire layout is beautiful. I have often heard of people comparing it to American knife mags, but in all fareness, I have seen few of ANY magazines that could compare to the clear, crisp, dramatic flow that this magazine has.

I too hope I can find a way to subscribe!

Nick,
If I find out how, I will let you know.

Hello,Dave Ellis here,I have gotten the magazine for a few years now.Expensive but worth it.I subscribe at the local Japanese market bookstore.Hope that helps,
Dave Ellis

Thanks for the information and the link. I plan to look in to it today. I remember seeing a few issues during visits to NYC magazine shops. Pictures are worth a thousand words.

I have subscribed thru Kinokuniya for a couple of years and it is well worth the language barrier. Be advised that it will cost about $130US for six issues which is a year. -Dick
