Here are the finished pics. The blade is 3-7/8in long made of W-1. The front and rear bolsters are 416ss and the scales are stag. I hid the bolster screws for a cleaner look and sculpted the front bolster to look like a habaki. The backspacer runs the full length of the knife up to the stop pin and is made of carbon fiber. Overall length is 8-5/8in.
Thanks for looking,
Chuck

Amazing blade/handle ratio!

Very, very nice. That blade is my dream blade for my dream folder. I'm more into CF for handles but CF won't do this design/concept justice :)

Sweet folder. The blade hamon and the way you did the bolster gives it a Japanese sword feel.

That's very original-looking. The blade profile is reminiscent of an unokubi-zukuri tanto, which is far more practical--and for me, visually appealing--than the usual angular American "tanto." The habaki bolster treatment was a clever idea too. Some rayskin scales, perhaps with a small menuki-like shield, might make for an interesting variation.

Nice work!

By chance, were you influenced by Wally Hayes at all throughout your knifemaking career?
