japanese style straight razor

Just finished this japanese style straight razor.

- oal 7 1/4"
- blade 3 1/2"
- 1080



forge finish, with 400 grit handrubbed bevels. This one was a quickie for fun knife. I forged it out in about 40 min, and spent maybe an hour on grinding and filing. Adding HT and sharpening, maybe 2.5 hrs or so in making it.l


I finished sharpening it yesterday, spent 3 times longer than normal stropping it, and had a shave, to my inexperience it shaved good, although I don't have much of anything on the face to challenge the razor

Nice! Very "rustic" looking, I dig it! If you want somebody with a little more on the face to challenge the razor, just let me know Brother

Sorry, but I already got someone else to help me with that, found someone who had more hair than me, and had used a straight razor before (requirements I can't fill ) to test and review it for me.

In a few months I might have some more for sale though...
