My Japanese style sword -CS 88bk
Disassembly is easy for beginner,
First, the peg(s) of the handle is extract by stick(about diameter 0.25in) and small hammer.
Second, point is upward Grab the blade with fabric, the iron guard is strike by rubber hammer softly around it.
Then the handle is come out. both spacer(copper)
beneath the picture..
Two piece of handle peg is needed for fixing the handle.
handle peg is called 'meguki' in japanese speech. It is made of bamboo.
Originally the peg is one piece, but sometimes two piece is useful for safety.
The handle is made of wood, and the tang must be fitted like a glove with the handle.
