Looking online wakizashi style knives seem to all be made in China, is there a Japanese maker that is reputable, they can be purchased, is there some weird law Japanese made fighting knives are not sold in the US

I tanto knife Japanese made would be cool, the Wakizashi is the shorter sword I believe either way hard to find one Japanese made seems like they all come from China or India…Did you mean a Tanto blade knife?
