Hi All,

I came across Jared Price. I really like his work!

His site seems to suggest he has stopped making knives and his listed suppliers are all out of stock.

I would like one of these

and maybe one of his Damascus versions of the same. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be grateful.

I am fond of collecting but do like smaller knives to ensure I stay legal in Aust.

Very welcome to suggestions of similar styles to Jared.

Thanks in advance..

I went down the same path last month. I was looking at small friction folders and there are plenty of makers out there, unfortunately the designs I like (modern, non-traditional) are always out of stock or a waiting list of months/years. Then I came across a Belgium knifemaker called Filip de Coene and his designs are pure minimal! I emailed him and luckily he had some in stock; I bought the Hybrid Friction Folder and really looking forward to it!

Here's some pics from the internet:

Jared is local to me, I've met him several times. He isn't a full time maker and is no rush to be one.

Hi Orixa,

Filip de Coene do indeed fit the bill. Do you have contact details for him and a ball park price?

ericb445 - I love his work. Please let him know he has a fan if you meet him again. (a knife-less fan)

Is there a name for the "fat blade" style knives he makes. That style appeals to me the most in a blade.

haha, yes: Thou shalt Google before posting! :D

The Hybrid Friction Folder I paid just under 300Euros incl shipping.
