In the 1832, young guy named Jared, took a job as assistant cook on the cruise steamboat. One day huge storm swept the steersman down from the deck and it seemed that the boat would sink down. When Jared saw that, he did not hesitate , jumped up to the deck and held the helm until the ship landed safely. Mayority of passengers and the whole boat was saved by his bravery. So the owner of shipping company rewarded him greatly. He paid Jared whole year salary, trained him as a steersman and gave him a commemorative knife . And this is the knife
