I am liking this knife a lot and if and when I find a better sheath, this will will be in my edc line up. It feels pretty damm good. It truly deserves better quality scales too, but the plastic scales that come on it feel great and will out last me no doubt. It's just my pet peeve :D I don't like plastic scales  the knife came with a sheath so I'am grateful for that but I absolutely got to come up with something else.

That might be a good option to replace my lost Bk14. Your right it needs some different scales. Those kinda cheap it out a bit.

As much as it hurts me to say this, I'am liking the Globetrotter more than the 24. It's heavier though with a solid tang. If I keep my eyes closed the scales are fine but yea the sheath. I might have to try and make my own o_O

It's a good looking design imho.
Also in a size of knives I use alot.
Enjoy it :)

Thanks knoefz, I got this on the last Black Friday sale. Thought I would give it a try, so far I'am really liking the handle size, the blade is pretty sweet too. I guess it's not a big hit cause there doesn't seem to be any aftermarket goodness for it

At the recombination of @1066vik i recently picked up a Mk1 and like your Globetrotter I have really come to appreciate this knife. Great Great sheath and Kraton handle. I'm still going to check out the Globetrotter. Because Hey we can't have to many knives right.

Right on Tanker, congrats on your Mk1  I've always have admired them.

Cranial flatulence aside, I too would love if these knives had an option for better scales. I actually started a thread a few months back. The reply from Kabar was that it's unlikely. With the Becker micarta scales, they can make a scale size and shape that will fit numerous knives. But each Jarosz knife uses a unique sized handle shape and size, so it would require a much bigger investment in tooling, stocking etc...

Yea it makes sense for KaBar not to make them just for the fact I don't know how well the Jarosz line are selling. Then again there is only 3 styles to have to make. I am very glade I gave the Globetrotter a shot for sure :D

The Globetrotter is an excellent little knife.

Your welcome Jober7, basically that's it . If you ever had min oil on your blade than I would suggest rubbing alcohol to clean the logo otherwise soap and water would do. Make sure you don't have any deep scratches through to the metal at the logo area cause they will deepen too . As long as the paint is good around the logo area you are good to go and it is very easy to do ;) Be sure to post some pics
