I was the fortunate winner of the Jarosz turok gaw knife given away about two weeks ago. Due to our wonderful USPS i just received the knife Tuesday after it being 8 days in transit. When i found out i won the knife i figured i would do a review on it, ill do the best i can, I have a 4 month old and 3 year old so my outdoor time is limited right now but ill definitely get out to use and abuse the knife and put it through its paces. Ill updae this thread as i go along with things that i didn't with the knife.

First impressions of the knife are it seems heafty knife for its size. As soon as i took it out of the box i thought to my self that this seemed very similar to my Esee 5 that i used to have as far as weight, but is well balanced in hand and the edge is way more functional for slicing and cutting compared the the esse whice was a sharpened pry bar basicaly, i did some curls on a peice of old axe handled and apple wood i use to smoke with and i know this knife is going to be one heck of a slicer. The kydex sheath and belt loop that came with the knife is actually very nice, i wish the Becker tweeners came with this kind of factory sheath(cough cough, hint to ka bar) and is one of the better factory sheaths iv gotten. The blade shape to me is great, Im a professional chef and this shape of knife just melts into my hand and is comfortable to use. The Handle is nice and functional, doing some of the curls it seems to need to be tightened some and is a little loose but no big deal.

A few photos to hold everyone over

I want to test the factory geometry before i do some tweeks to the knife. Im going to strip the coating and convex the edge. But ill play with the way it was sent to me first. Ill add to this thread as i use the knife more and will take more pictures.

thanks Again to Jesse Jarosz for this awesome knife, I can wait to put it to some use and see what it has to offer.

Tell wifey to watch the kids, daddys going out starting fires, slaughtering bears and taking over the world with his new Kill Bear Jarosz Turok! Really did a number on that twig.

Was hoping the folklore about you was true.

Thank you for taking the time to post this! I look forward to hearing what you have to say after some more time with the knife!

I know what I think :D I like it ;). As far as his handles seemingly loose , Ahhhh I would have suggested tightening them :).The only thing that some wouldn't like is if you are a batoner it will be hard on your batons  Great Knife package otherwise and very comfortable in hand  IMO
