Well thanks to MrYarrow at Britishblades, I got to try making something different with one of these little tanto blades.
Jason Aube makes some very nice blades with superb hamons, very sharp as well

Handle is made with "homegrown" crosscut oak. I tried to give it a slightly old and dark finish useing a method I learned while making my crossbow.
It is then filed down and wrapped with tared rope for better grip.
The front mosaic pinn is from my polish friend NAZIR on USN, both pinns are mainly brass.

Wet molded sheath as usual, coloured and deeply waxed.

I took me a while to decide how to make this, please let me know what you think.

That is very handsome.

While looking at the knife and sheath the words that popped into my mind were , traditional, handsome , ergonomic.
The oak looks nice  interesting on the back handle pin how it looks almost spider web in the grain.
What is tarred rope though ? I have not heard of that.

Once again , good job :)

lots of interesting things going on with this knife
the tarred rope is interesting, how is it for grip? slippery? grippy?
i like the way the rope is flush with the spine of the blade , in that it does not stick up ,,,you have counter sunk it?
the details are nice on this one
thanks for sharing it with me/us ,,shaker
