I got this knife last month and been using it for everything. It is one of the most comfortable handles I've every held on a Spyderco (maybe even more comfortable than my Caly 3 and PM2 - heresy, I know!)

The swedge on the back of the knife works perfectly for firemaking with a ferro rod.

Here are photos of it in use - my 6-year old took the action photos for me! Sorry, not many photos of the knife - I actually put this together for a bushcraft forum.

I love this knife - hope you like the photos!

Initial test strike.

It took several strikes before a spark caught.

Something catches.

Need to blow into flames.

We have fire!

Nice! That's what I've used the swedge for too. Such a great knife! Thanks for sharing

Glad I could help!:D it's one of those knives that just doesn't seem that popular, I assume the looks put people off, but it is such a great knife.

I received my green Para 2 yesterday, and the Breeden has kept it in its box.

Awesome. Having something special done to mine.

Another fan of the Breeden Rescue. It has become one of my favorites. The handle is so comfortable, Even more then my Beloved Caly3.

I finally ended up sharpening it, But I still say it was the best factory edge I have ever received from any company.

I received mine last week and haven't been able to put it down, my other 30 spyderco's have had a weeks vacation :D:D:D

The blade on mine was also perfect. On these hollow ground blades is the cutting edge at 40° inclusive?
