Greetings all,

For some time Jason Knight has been high on my "I can't believe I don't own one of his knives and simply must do somthing about it" list.

Well, there could hardly have been a better place to do something about it than Blade. For the big forged knife collector, Jason's table was a dream - an armful of fighters, bowies, subhilts and camp knives.

The type of knife I had in mind was exactly the knife I bought - a recurve fighter with Jason's signature raised clip:

This knife features a 9" blade with an overall length of 14", contoured ironwood handle, stainless double guard with copper spacers.

Here is a shot of the maker and the knife:

And a peek at some other goodies from his table:

Next up is an elegant bowie by the incredibly talented John White. John's table was another bowie-lover's dream come true with some really appealing offerings.

This particular piece stopped me in my tracks with its graceful, flowing lines, wicked hamon and palm-filling hunk of stag:

This knife features an 11" blade of W2, overall length of 16", stag handle and nicely-detailed fittings of stainless steel and damascus.

Here is a shot of the maker with the knife:

That recurve chopper would have been just as welcome, but was already spoken for.

Both of these makers had a very successful show in terms of sales and awards. Jason picked up two - Best Bowie and the Moran Award. John picked up the Best Damascus award for a stunning dagger. My thanks and congratulations to both of these fine makers.

Woah... those Whites and Knights are great delights!

(man, that was bad - but I just couldn't help it!)

That Knight recurve is one of cleanest interpretations of that style I've ever seen. Wonderful!

Nice loot on both tables, real nice!
The shark fin fighter is right up your alley, mine too.
Gorgeous ironwood, the guard with the copper spacers to accentuate the wood is very cool.

That big bowie of John's,your's:),is just as nice.
Great dark stag and superb fittings.
Both lovely,you did very,very well.
John has kind eyes.

Like a favorite song, these are two knives that deserve to be enjoyed over and over and over....

What the Senator said.

You have great taste Roger.
I bet looking at your collection would make my head spin right off.

Badass, Brother Pinnock!!:D Jason and John are kind of the new superheroes of the Blade Show, so it would seem. That Knight not only has Jason's signature raised clip, but also his signature spine grind:thumbup: Are you going to have to build an addition to house all of these big bowies? :D

I'm certainly glad everyone had a good time in my absence.
Fantastic additions to the collection, Roger.

I really dig the skyline of the Knight bowie. The diamond spine and the long raised back-edge is over the top.

Ok Roger, this is enough. Please stop by as soon as you can! LOL! Congrats, 2 amazing knives. I like the way Mr. White worked in the Damascus to the fittings.

truly wicked knives roger...please tell me how many blade show installments u have...i don't know how much more i can take!....ryan

Had the good fortune to handle that BIG John White beauty and it's an exceptional Bowie to say the least. Not only does it sport a fantastic piece of stag, but it's superbly worked into the knife. Didn't want to put it down.

The Jason Knight fighter is nice too, however didn't get a chance to inspect that one up close.

Great choices! You have excellent taste!:thumbup:
