I have recently come into possession of my first(of many) Jason Knight knife. It is a 3.5" Damascus skinning blade and has an ironwood handle. I have owned other custom made knives and this is by far the best in every possible aspect! The knife is built for skinning and uses a "three finger" type handle. The blade is immaculate in both form and function. I had the chance to meet Mr. Knight several years ago at a small show in S.C., and until owning one of his works of art did not realize just how much of a treat that was! The knife I have was intended to be used...but i can't bring myself to skin a deer with it. Anyone have a Knight knife that they indeed use? Also does anyone have any other examples of his work that they could show me? I am very interested in learning more about what others have to say about his knives. Thanks for any replies.

Welcome to Blade Forums Idrattherhunt.
You have come to the right place as this thread will be crawling with Jason Knight fans PDQ.
I have never used one of his pieces but have handled and inspected quite a few. He makes a very nice knife.

You have to show yours first. ;) :D

I have heard tell that Mr. Knight finds it somewhat irritating that someone would buy one of his knives and not use it for its intended purpose:D

If that's the case then perhaps those who don't use them should stop buying them. ;) :)

Have a little stag recurve that's in the weekly rotation. As Joe mentioned, they're made to be used and a joy at that.

ideratherhunt- you gotta get a camera and post pics when you start a thread like this.... or prepare for some big poking from the regulars here.

Jason does extremely nice work, in my view does Fighters/Bowies as good as or better than anyone. Think I may go up and see him in a few weeks.

Jason Knight makes very fine knives, I really like his work. He's kind of a fun guy too.

It must be wonderful to have your knives as highly sought after as Jason Knight's are. :)
A link to my one and only Knight.

I don't have any knives by Jason but we are working on that...
Honestly, I love his work and I can't wait to have one of his stuning knives !

I don't have any of his knives either, and DO plan to remedy this some time in the future.
