Some time ago I had talked with Jason Wilder of Wilder Forge about a knife, but nothing came of it, for reasons I long since forgot. As I did the entire incident.

Just as context, I had very specific specs because I have use of only one side of my body, and small hands to boot.

On August 7, totally out of the blue, I received the following email:

“I just finished my most recent batch of neck knives and had one extra that I would like to offer to you first before I put it on the net.
It is 3/32" 52100, 3.75" blade, green canvas micarta with orange scales. This little guy is super sharp.”

In other words, it fit my needs very nicely indeed. Plus the price was better than great.

It gets better.

I agreed to take it, but at the last minute sought a different blade shape. Some folks might be slightly miffed, even exasperated.

His reply: “That shouldn't be a problem at all.”

Just received the knife and it’s a beauty. But not half as fine as the fellow who made it.

By the way, I tried it at dinner tonight, and the things a bloody razor.
