Hi everyone!!!

My name is Rachel and I am the Web Designer that Mr. Jason Knight employed to make his new website.

The site is finally finished enough that it can be opened to the public now.

I hope you find everything enjoyable. And let me know if you have any suggestions. I still have to put up some more knives in the Gallery, but the Chopper Mr. Jason wants to sell is up there.

Well everyone have a nice day and check out his new site!!!

The site looks good. It needs more photos of Jason's knives, but I am sure that will be coming. Parts of the site load pretty slowly for me, especially the photos.

Hi Rachel,

Thanks for the note. Let's give folks a quick chance to see the site by providing a link:

www.JasonKnightKnives.com

OK, you asked:

A couple of things that will help: There is no 'home page'. It's a standard to have one stop to afford an overview of the site and the offerings.

There is a page with the photo of the Mastersmith quillion dagger, and it says go to this link for an enlarged image, which then shows a 351x458 pixel sized image. That's not larger. :( If you want to show detail show it! I would size the enlarged version at 750x900.

My favorite website approach is a three level image: Thumbnail (200), midsize (500), large websize (900).

There is no reason to show and link to an email that is unavailable (and you mention that there.) So avoid looking unfinished and don't even show it until it is?

Lastly, and I suggest this to Jason and EVERY maker who has a website: Place a nice smiling photo of yourself on the 'about me' page. We are interested in a real human, text is so impersonal. That small addition can make a nice difference.

Overall good stuff. Keep it coming.

I think the website has a good professional look to it. Very nicely done.

Coop gives great advice. He's an expert not only in photography but in marketing, and I wholeheartedly agree with all of his suggestions. I would also add that a shot or two of Jason at work in his shop would be great - it helps illustrate the true handmade aspect of the work Jason produces. In fact, I'd love to see a full-on shop tour, but understand that those can be kind of time consuming to put together...

Oh, one last suggestion - put a nice, medium sized fighter on the available page. Because I want one. :)
