Lucky for me, Bill Siegle didn't sell all his knives at the Eugene show two wekends ago. This beauty was up for over a day on the Knifemakers sale board. We first saw the Jungle Knife in this thread: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=450975&highlight=jungle

Guyon, I know you're going to like this knife.

ME TOO! SHWEET BLADE!! I'll bet it's a joy to swing at some wood! That BM-E looks like a nice one too, the only stripped one I can recall seeing! Never used a BM-E! The FBM's a kick though!

You got that right!!!

I have one of these on order with Bill. I actually ordered a coated knife, but this thread is making me rethink that option. Satin sure looks fine!

Thanks for the pics.

I prefer uncoated knives in general, and on this knife the bonus is that you get to see the hamon; and I really like that look.

I had asked Bill how this Jungle knife differs from the Hoodlum 2. His reply:

"The Jungle Knife pattern is a little lighter up front at the tip than the HoodlumII. Gives it a little more velocity for cutting things like vegetation. It still has plenty of mass for chopping though. I guess you could say the HoodlumII is closer to a pure chopper whereas the Jungle Knife is a little more versitile."

So I will guess that the Hoodlum pattern has less of the distal taper.
