This is my first Framelock.
Both sides .156" Ti, blade is .156" thick Cpm 154-cm
Ti clip and G-10 back spacer, weight 5.3 oz.
Length open 7 1/8" closed 4"
Proto has an oval opener. I think I will use a thumb disk, and D-2 blade steel on the standard models.
Let me know what you think.

That 's a really nice edc...I'm curious though...do you really need the oval hole to open it? I would think that you can get enough grip just on the fuller lines alone. I have seen Jake Hoback do this in the past. Just my .02. Would you be willing to use another steel other than D2? My concerns would be as an edc some people have acidic sweat and in the pocket rust may start to form. (or am I just crazy? :p)

Very nice!

Depending on price I would be very interested.

Can't wait to see the finished product.

Yeah this is kind of a one of, using the groove is cool but with this design there's not really enough room. The standard model will be thumb disk openers and won't have a groove. And I do love Jake's idea but that's kind of his thing. D-2 is semi stainfree and is the standard for all my folders. Any other steels are options that will cost a little more.

Cool deal...would the fuller be an option. (I love the look of fullers on a knife...both on blade and scales) What other steel options will be available?

Steel options....I will prob just do some small runs CPM 154. As stainless goes it's my all around favorite. I will be doing some CF scales on some as well.
By fillets do you mean scallops like in this pic?

I'll be keeping an eye out at Howe's for this...unless you want to let me snag that one ;)

Nah...I mean to say fuller...not fillet. Gotta pay attention to what I'm typing. I went back and fixed my posts. I had my terms confused.
