What a beautiful knife! Looks like it found a very nice home to live in. Congrats!

Really a beautiful knife :)

I´m sure, the steel will get a good edge and keep it pretty long.

Kind regards
Andi

Its a beauty to be sure. That olive is just stunning. And your using it....good on you

ya beat me to it.If I had that knife I'd throw a party too.
Chooice.

Here is some info from the maker:

Blade and spring – 14C28N
Titanium bolsters and liners (Bolsters are pinned)
Pivot is Phosphor Bronze with a 2.4mm titanium pin trough it.
Handle is a special piece of wild olive from my part of the world (Springbok, South Africa)
Lanyard hole is aluminium tubing.
Knife closed is 100mm

The pattern you see in the wood is as a result of fire over the years that the tree has endured. This however comes with its challenges as it is difficult to find a piece without significant damage or cracks to use as handle material.

Beautiful knife! Nice to see that you're enjoying using it. Can you tell us anything more about the effect of fires on the wood? Thanks.

This one is kind of old but since buckthorn has posted to BF recently, maybe he's still curious and will see this.
