After reading all the threads, I contacted my good friend STR and asked him about the Junkyard Dog II.
It's a very good knife he says.
But it is so inexpensive I says...got to be a catch somewhere.
No he says it is just a lot of bang for your buck.
Now Steve knows his folders, but I was a little sceptical....until today.
He had gotten tired of my endless questions and decided to shut me up, once and for all.
He sent me one.
All I can say is..WOW...I don't know how they can do it.
Bang for your buck...no .....more like an explosion!
Steve...you were right.

I told ya!

I'm telling anyone that asks about 'explosions' for the buck about the JYDII. I even told Tim Galyean an ear full the day I got my first one, much of which he probably didn't read without rolling his eyes back then but I keep up and don't miss much when it comes to folders. For the money its better than half the so called hard use knives in the tactical folders industry being made by various companies. It has some things they don't have also in that its sheeple friendly and basically wears multiple hats as a user, and EDC beater knife, or an office knife or even a great food prep blade because I'm here to tell you it sliced and diced just fine. My only gripe with that knife is the tip down carry mode for the pocket clip being the only position offered. Put it tip up and you instantly have a knife that can stand toe to toe and even surpass many knives for $150 and up in the tactical market place. Even some from Zero Tolerance but I probably better not say that to loudly or too often.

I can tell you this though. I've paid many times more for knives half as good.

The JYD II is an incredible knife, not just for the money. I still don't know how they sell it for what they do. I can't wait for the all black JYD II's (hopefully they will not be partially serrated).

Absolutely. It's been my EDC for a month, now. It will stay in my pocket for quite some time.
