I am new to the forum but wondering if anyone knows of a custom knife maker from the 80's in El Paso, TX named JD Sams.
 
When I knew him, he hadn't opened a formal business yet. He was just making knives at his house. Was just wondering if he ever made a name for himself in the custom knife world. I'm not really a knife collector so I didn't keep up. Sounds like he probably didn't. That's too bad. Good guy.
