Just got my JD Smith from the WOW blowout sale... I love everything about this knife, except that it is serrated (no plains left in stock) It is by far one of the most attractive factory pieces I've ever owned, and I like the switch to the gold-bug clips. The Micarta is a little slick, but that will take time for me to get used to.

(Actually, I have a teensy little complaint just because the blade hole has a sharp burr around then edge, but I can fix that when I get home. Other than that, this knife rocks)

Thanks Sal for making such a spiffy knife... Now I just have to wait for my Khalsa to come in the mail tomorrow!!!!

Find thee a plain, 'tis worth it!!
The action on my Smith is very stiff - you?

ferret--

it's a little tough at the moment, but I'm assuming that's because it's brand new. It does take a little extra effort to open, but I usually oil em up with a little white lightning when I get home, so that should take care of it

neat thing about taking a chance on a knife... i never really considered buying this knife until I saw it on sale. so I thought, "eh, if I don't like it, I can always recoup my losses."

I think it's a keeper though.

I loved my first JD Smithy so much I bought two more. I use one and have one on standby just in case. Two of the sharpest knives I have. Should anyone want to buy my third one I have a NIB Serrated model for sale. Send an email for the price.
Thanks,
Mike
