I think this is a really cool knife but I have not heard much about it. Wondering what you guys think if it. I took a picture of it with a GEC #44 pen blade out for a size reference. It is small.
What do you guys think of a knife this small?
I know nothing about the maker, but I have to say that I really like a tiny knife sometimes. I have an older Gerber Air Ti that I absolutely love. It is itty bitty, but that means that it doesn't seem inappropriate almost anywhere. It is in the middle here for some scale:
I like the design and the materials and I think I read somewhere that it's 2 1/2 inches closed. I like to carry a small knife in my watch pocket in addition to a larger knife in my right front pocket but 2 1/2 inches closed is too small for me.
I had a Case Tiny Trapper once and I just couldn't keep a good hold on the knife. I always felt like I was going to drop it. A Case Peanut is as small as I can go.
The lanyard on your JE Made would offer a little more grip but I don't do lanyards either. I like the JE Made but I'm afraid it's just not for me.
I love it and have been on the fence about getting one. I have the JE Made Slipjoint with carbon fiber and I think he does great work. Any feedback on the Zulu you can give would be appreciated.
I have a JE Made Slipjoint and like it overall but the pull is very heavy and the blade is a little too thick to cleanly cut an apple into 1/8s. How does the mini fare with apples?
OT but in response to the above I took the spring out of my JE Made slipping and ground off some metal north of the retaining screw hole to lessen the tension and that worked well
