Hello everyone. Going to start a little project with a Ti pocket clip. I want to put a finish on it that mimics the color and pattern/texture of jeans.

I am looking for input on how to do this. My only idea so far is to sand the finish to 80 grit, maybe wire brush it, heat anodize cyan or even dark blue assuming on the color of your jeans. And possibly going back over it slightly with 80 again.

Thanks guys.

Not really sure how you would accomplish that, however I think you may be on the right path when you said using a wire wheel.

That would create an almost orange peel finish and then a dark blue anodized finish may give you close to what you want.

You may even be able to use a heavy grit sand paper with cross hatch scratch pattern and then wire wheel it. That may give you the jean stitched look.

just my best guess.

You might rather try one of those water dip paint transfer things. You could make it look exactly like denim, and for not much $$.
