Lets just state for the record that I'm a huge geek and have time on my hands, and that I'm in good company here.

This all started when I got a Leatherman Juice S2. In my attempts to carry a bunch of items everyday yet have them concealed I wanted to take the old Leatherman Wave off my belt. And to be honest it's overkill for "pop up" tasks. Tools are never to far away if a real need arises. So I put the Juice in my pocket and its just flopping around in there, always sideways when I sit down and I feel the need to adjust it. Pretty much annoying the heck out of me.
So, I grab the sewing kit and run a stitch on the inside of the pocket and make a mini internal pocket (inside the larger pocket) for the Juice to ride in. Now it sits right where its supposed to and doesn't move around in the pocket all day and I don't even feel its there.
Here's some inside the pocket porn where you can see my handy work

I've been doing this for years too. I hate pocket clips and I often carry traditional knives. BTW, I EDC a Juice S2 every day, but I carry that in my watch pocket. When I'm at home, I always have tools around, but that Juice has been put to work more times than I can count when there wasn't anything else available.

The knife in this picture is about 5" closed, to give you an idea of size! You can always change the size of the interior pocket to fit your needs!

Nice to see I'm not the only one. The Juice does fit well in that 5th pocket but that space is already spoken for with a flashlight and the little Dragonfly.

My sewing is not that good but this works great.

I use it for my Hubertus and did it originally to keep this heavy knife from falling sideways in my pocket.

Great idea. I have dressier pants with a small pocket at the bottom to corral coins, and heavier duty pants with cargo pockets with slots like you sewed for knives or flashlights or pens.

Very good idea and I will have to do this to my jeans' pockets.

I had the same issue with carrying a Juice. Great little tool, but it would drive me crazy when it would turn sideways in my pocket. My solution was to take a bandana and fold it around the Juice, a small Fenix flashlight and a bic lighter to make a compact EDC package that slides easily into my jeans pocket and rides "upright". With these four items, a traditional folder in my back pocket and a 110 on my belt, all contingencies are pretty much covered.

The bandana solution works best with jeans. My nicer pants that I wear to the office have the little coin compartment inside and a small whittler fits in there perfectly.

wow guys....mind=blown!! Probably gonna give this a try:-)

Great idea! I have in my dress pants a coin pocket as well, and use that for my flashlight and Fischer bullet pen- didn't think of making one for my jeans!

I'm in the club as well. Been doing this with my jeans for decades (I only wear jeans).

I have one stitched compartment in the outer edge of my left pockets for a flashlight, and another compartment on the far right of my right side pockets for a folding knife. It's not to protect items from scratches, it's to keep these long items from sinking down and wedging themselves in/across the bottoms of my pockets.

I taught myself how to hand sew when I was about 9 years old. It's a skill that often comes in handy.
