Does anyone know how to remove these marks without removing the anodizing? I've had this happen on a few knives and didn't care until it left marks on my carried once and otherwise like new Bodega.

Any and all pointers are appreciated!

It's somewhat difficult to see it in the pics but the marks are copper colored.

Don't use Flitz or anything that is abrasive.
Some WD 40 on a soft rag may remove it.

Might try something like a pink rubber pencil eraser in a manner similar to cleaning metal swarf from ceramic rods. Might get lucky. The eraser won't be abrasive enough to alter the finish on the Ti, but it might dislodge that copper. Might also work in conjunction with the WD-40 as suggested by Bill.

Ty all!..i think I'm going to give a few of the last recommendations a try. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I don't work with titanium, so I don't know how durable the finish is.
I do know that pink erasers are abrasive. Probably used lightly, it might work.

I'd try a weak acid like vinegar...should dissolve the copper without harming the Ti oxide(anodizing).

Pink erasers use a little bit of iron oxide as the 'abrasive' agent. It's less abrasive than silica (Comet/Ajax, Brasso, etc), aluminum oxide (i.e., Flitz, etc). Even less so, in the rubbery binder. As abrasives go, it should be the least aggressive, but still maybe harder than the copper itself. A light rub of the eraser on the copper stains should show pretty quickly if the copper's coming off. It'll be easy to see, on the eraser. I've never seen a pink eraser alter a finish on anything, even paper, when erasing pencil marks.

Just tested a pink eraser against the Ti handle of my CRK Sebenza. No ill effects, no alteration of the finish on that one.

Try some solvent for removing copper bullet fouling from a gun barrel. Also a couple of drops of cold blue on a soft rag and some elbow grease will will remove copper or brass. Don't flood the knife with it - just a few drops on a rag. I would not use ANYTHING that is abrasive and that includes all "polishes". If you continue to carry that knife in those jeans the problem will keep happening.
