Hello all,

I was at the SCBlades Expo 2002 in Buena Park this weekend and I won a small but sweet utility type knife by Jeff C. Morgan. I walked over to him after winning the knife and introduced myself. I thanked him for donating the knife and asked him a little about it. He was kind enough to explain some about his knifemaking techniques which was very nice of him.

I was just wondering if anyone has seen any articles about him or if he has a website, or if he lists his knives with a website company? Of course I forgot to ask him directly because I was totally jazzed about winning the knife and about the Jim Ferguson Damascus Knife I had just purchased.

Well, thanks for any info you might have.

I may edit this post with a photo if I can get one of my Morgan knife.

Be safe all,
Mike

Jeff Morgan is one of the many excellent, but unpublicized, knifemakers in this country.
He makes a great knife, his prices are VERY reasonable (IMO UNDERPRICED),and is truly a nice guy.
I am 57 years old,I first met Jeff when I was 15, 22years later, when I decided to become a knifemaker, he helped with information, as to, where to get knifemaking equiptment, and supplies.
I saw my first blade ground in his shop, also got my first and only lesson on blade grinding. After watching Jeff grind a blade, I was tossed a piece of scrap 440C, and told to "make a knife", surprisingly, I was able to grind a passable knife. That was the only tutoring I have ever had, but I spent a few enjoyable weekend afternoons at his house, chatting about knives with Jeff and his wife Sandy.
