Hi. What can anyone tell me about this maker? I'm not all that familiar with the custom field, but I have just seen a knife by this maker and was very, very impressed by it. It is a model called a phalanx and has a long wharncliffe style blade. Actually looks more like a folding straight razor and I can readily see the usefullness of the blade shape. It has black G-10 bolsters and macasar ebony handles which are a dark brown with black striping, looks really good in the pictures. The liners are super thick, as thick as any I've seen on a knife. Anyway, I'm considering this knife and just wanted to get some feedback. Thanks all.

Hi. What can anyone tell me about this maker?

He is a very talented maker, the principal creator behind Nemesis Knives, and he has been doing knives for a long time. Buy with confidence(but cross check prices against True North Knives to ensure that you are getting a fair deal.)

Best Regards,

Steven Garsson

I have a Jeff Hall medium bounty hunter, it is a great knife. Fit and finish is great, even the medium is a big knife. If you are thinking of buying one go ahead you wont be disappointed.

Jeff definately makes a nice knife. I have a Sentry- small (especially for Jeff), it's about 2.25 inches, but built like a tank.

I have a couple of Jeff's folders and they both are of the highest quality.Great lock up and as sharp as sin.If you are looking for a stout folder one of his would be a very good choice.

Bladegallery has some nice smaller fixed blades from Jeff. Kind of wharncliff styled blades. Very stout and sturdy looking. I would pick one up for the price.
I don't own a Hall knife yet but hope to someday. They look very strong.

I own several of Mr. Hall's creations. The quality of the knives is only matched by the quality of the man - both are exemplary. Buy with complete confidence.

It sounds like I need to add Mr. Hall to my list of makers that I must have. I have seen his customs on a couple of sites, and they DO appeal to me!!

I have received the knife and must say that it is excellent! The liners are almost as thick as the blade itself and the lock up is as solid as any knife I've ever possessed. Coincidentally the blade is .130" thick so this gives you an idea of the liner thickness. The workmanship is without any flaw that I can discern and everything is precisely joined together. I like the fact that the blade is centered in the blade channel when closed and that the liner is exactly fitted so that the detent ball and detent hole line up perfectly. Upon closure of the blade you can hear a tiny "snick" as the liner pops over to engage the blade. All in all an excellent piece of work and one I'll be proud to carry and show. Thanks for all the input guys!:D

with Mike Norris Damascus blade. The knife carries the Nemesis logo + Hall so Jeff regards it as a semi-custom (only the Blade is hand ground by him while the other parts liners etc are CNC made). Most custom makers would label it as custom but Jeff Hall is a gentleman who is 100% straight and honest so he calls them semi-custom.

The Folder is extremely well build, massive 4" Mike Norris damascus blade - the best a man can get.

I would recommend Jeff's work anyday - He is one of the best there are when it comes to making excellent knives and happy customers.

His prices are more than fair and he always offer a good value for money
