Just finished up Jeff's knife. Skeletonized with an abrasive blasted finish. I really love the combination of the polished blade and matte finished handles.

Nice work man. I just wish I had the money to get my jag fixed. LOL I might after I save enough money for a tachyon.:D

Very, very nice work!!

I like the polished/subdued combo finish, too.
Looks like a tank.:D

I can't wait for mine!!!

What is that blade out of because I know it's not a 42, 43, 44, 45, or 47. Thats a Utility if I'm not mistaken and those are hard to come by in 4"

Nice contrast Eric...!!

The "Day-Job" is gonna be history  !!

Very very nice. Looks almost like it came out of the BM factory. That contrast is really beautiful. And I can't wait, because this means that the waiting list ahead of me grows one person shorter.

BTW Balilover: I think that's a 3" Model 10 blade. I guess we'll wait for Eric to confirm.

True craftsmanship. Very refreshing, hard to come by these days. Yep, looks like i'm going to have to buy a jag just so i can have Mer do his magic. To me they look better than BM. At least the ones that came on my 42. Handmade vs mass produced, the answer is obvious.

Damn, Mer! You've really got some talent in those hands of yours! And I agree, that contrasting matte/polish look is rad. It looks like those handles would NEVER slip in your hands. Nice work!! :D

WOW! Christmas came early this year! [Or was that me? ;)]
That is a 4" utility from an old BM International Series with Zamak handles and black inserts. (Senior Gollnick, can you help me out with the model #?)
Thanks again Eric. You rule.

That would make it Model #260 (I think). And may I congradulate you on one fine piece of cutlery.

That's the same blade I sent to Mer, with the silver w/ black inserts, Utility blade, mint condition.
But then I was looking around a local Army surplus store, and they hade a BM w/skeletonized chrome Zamack, that had been flipped a little, and the handles were a little unaligned, he only wanted $35.00 for it, so I bought it and sent it off to Mer. I was a little uneasy about destroying a mint condition bali, to make it better.

Now, Just like Towelie,

I choose........BOTH!!!

:D :D :D

Are the 4" utility blades rarer than the ones with the Politically correct weehawk?

That is a fine piece of work! It seems they're getting finer all the time. Keep up the great work!!! And yes blade_420, the utility blades in the 'International Series' are probably the rarest of all since most folks opted for the WeeHawk or tanto. In cutlery terms, it's the most usable blade for 'real world' cutting and should make for a terrific knife for edc. Trust me, you'll love it! ;)

Mer, I haven't been posting much lately and I rarely get time to even peruse the forums much, but I had to reply to this one...That is some really fine work you've done with those handles. The contrast you created with the handles is excellent and very rugged looking. And though I haven't ever handled anything you've made, it's very apparent that it's not just rugged "looking", but those are some serious handles you've put on there. Again, very nice work. If I come across something I want re-handled, I won't hesitate to give you a buzz.
