Jeff, need your advice

for the second time in three weeks I had a camera die due to lens error-the lens won't open when I power on the camera. Considering this camera came out of the package 3 weeks ago and this is my second A600 series camera to die on me due to the same reason, and Canon's "I couldn't give a RAT's ass" customer service, do you have any tips for me to try?

Wished I could be of some help but I know nothing about the A600. I've had good luck with Canon's service dept. though.
