STIHL,

I doubt you will get any response because I can't recall any BF member going with us - that I know of - never can tell with all these CB handled names

New member Darryl Patton has taken several of these trips but Darryl's not a client, instead he's part of our team.

Mike Perrin and I are headed out February 24 to teach a jungle survival class in Monteverde to 35 Canadian high school students for Specops in Costa Rica. Canadian jungle survival? Go figure.

We have several other trips lined up back into South America for this year. March 17 we leave for a 2 week adventure (not survival class) basing out of Tarapoto, Peru. Going back in to the Andes on this one.

After that we're hauling Jerry VanCook, Newt Livesay, and a few others into the jungle for a one week trip. I think big Jim Six, a contributor to BF, may go on this one.

Then back to Costa Rica for a 10 day Survival Trekking of the Osa Peninsula in July with three SF instructors of Specops ( a private company). Jay Stanka and his team commander will be teaching students land navigation and travel survival in remote areas, and medic Myke Hawkeye will be certifying them in Wilderness First Aid. My crew will be teaching the jungle survival portion. This trip is going to be filmed and we're working out a deal with ET producer Jim Carr for possible production.

After that it's back into Peru for a 2 week jungle survival trip. Plenty of bugs by the way

If you get ready to go, just drop us a note.

The 10 day Survival Trekking course begins on July 24th with everyone meeting at the San Jose, Costa Rica airport. From there we go directly to an intense classroon study of map and compass work and then take Sansa airlines into the Osa to begin the trek.

The October survival trip into Peru will probably leave out of Atlanta, Georgia the second Saturday in October and return 15 days later (no dates et in stone yet but will be after our return from the Andes trip). We already have 3 participants for this trip waiting on final dates. These seem to be the most popular of the things we do.

The way it looks now, we will be back in the Osa with Specops for another survival trekking adventure sometime after the October trip.

Let us know if you're interested.

Jeff
