I am setting up a page on my site devoted to jellyroll patterns. I would like photos I can use as examples. I will give full credit to the maker and include web links to there site as well as contact info. So please post photos here which I may use if you folks don’t mind. Please include any information you want displayed with the photos.

Thanks
Rick

Here's the best picture I have, of my Don Hanson Jelly Roll Twist damascus bird and trout knife. Hope this helps.

Some fine jelly on these bolsters. Knife by Larry Davidson, not sure if he did the damascus or not?

The pattern on that James Luman knife is called "jelly roll loop". It is the same pattern used on this David M. Smith knife.

Sorry, I didn't look closely enough at your initial post. All of the pictures I posted above are taken from the internet and I am not sure how the owners of the sites would feel about you using them on your website.

sorry sorry sorry :)

Why do you say that? Its not as hard as you think and the possibilities are endless. It just enhances the art and you can discover some amazing things. I am putting together a tutorial on my site, check it out sometime.

Can someone enlighten me on the origin and definition of a "jellyroll damascus?

Jellyroll Damascus gets its name from the manner in which it is made. You construct your billet as you normally would and weld it. Then draw it out and roll it up in a tight roll, this will resemble a jellyroll, thus the name. You then can manipulate it in a number of ways to create numerous patterns. New patterns are abound with this process.
