I’m thinking hard about about getting one but can’t find many reviews. Anyone know what the action is like?

I've handled a couple of them, and they were a joy to use. I don't recall how tight/free/droppy/hydraulic/whatever the action was, but it was pure pleasure in any case, and the flip was 100% reliable and didn't require any special touch. The most notable feature was the short protrusion and short throw of the flipper tab: I once asked Jens about it, and he said, if you get the geometry right, you don't need a long throw.

So, reliable flip with a short throw — the opposite of an XM-18, I suppose.

I have heard some people say his locks slip, i.e., they'll be unlocked by a spine whack. I didn't try that. I'd consider them gentleman's knives.

The Neo flips smoothly with the short
flip tab only 3 jimps. The sound is awesome in that it’s quiet not a resounding thwack or click. My favorite knife

Ducal12, I see why. Mine arrived today. Just drop dead gorgeous. Action is outstanding, but like you say, very different than a Thorburn. I’m very very happy with this. Do you guys have any experience with his Orso?

I have the Viper Anso Orso. Same manufacturer of Voxnaes and Jens Anso
Giantmouse series - nice action and A good flipper not as small as Anso custom.

I wanted to bump this to see if anyone else has thoughts on the Ansø Orso. It does look like a sweet knife but curious to hear from owners. I have also considered the Viper knives production version (for 10% the cost) if anyone has tried that one.

I love my Viper CF Orso! Great detent, lightweight, very smooth and the crowned spine is a great touch IMO.

I have the Ti and CF Viper Orso. The Ti is my daily EDC and why I quit buying EDC knives. Well, regularly buying ;)

You won't be disappointed with the Viper Orso unless you like framelock as opposed to linerlock. Personally I favor linerlocks so the Viper is perfect for me.

I have the Ti Orso. It's functional and well made and a bit boring. Just two long slabs of Titanium with almost nothing on them. The blue anodised clip scratches easily. I don't like blue on knives for some reason so those blue details bother me. Also, the blue of the clip is a different shade of blue to the pivot.
I half-heartedly sanded the pocket clip on mine, to disguise the scratches!
Anyway, it's not one I often use and if I lost it I probably wouldn't notice. I wish it had some of the detailing they gave the Viper Italo (I also wish I'd bought a solid Ti Italo, not one with G10 on one side and Ti on the other.)
If you like the look and the shape of the blade, go for it.

I have an orso custom and it is by far my favorite knife. Perfect size. It's the only knife where my girlfriend held it and said "yea this feels like an expensive knife". Cause all the others she's like "that was how much?!" ... also Jens was a pleasure to work with.

Edit: I realize it's not a neo but I feel the quality would be the same. I just prefer the aesthetic and blade shape of the orso.
