The comments on stippling in Coop's thread got me thinking about my first exposure to stippling,on the guard of a walnut handled hunter and a bocote utility from Jerome Anders.
Picked up two of his Bowies here but the only pic I have is from the seller of a DI example.

Anyone have any images of Jerome's work or know how active he is now.

Thanks.

Doug

I spoke with his dad in Reno and Jerome operating heaving equipment. Don't think he's making many knives if any.

I was wondering about Jerome. He was one of the first guys I met when I started messing around with forging and I hadn't really seen much from him lately. I had one of his knives and the lad certainly has skillz!!!!

Thanks for the info,Kevin.
A shame, his Bowies were kinda' typical ABS,not that there's anything wrong with that:D but he made some really nice fighters.
Matter of fact, there's a couple of guys here who have some striking examples.I was hoping they would see this thread and post.

Hey Doug,
Jerome made that knife for me within 3 days after I talked to him about making it.It's a reproduction of one of his MS Test Knives, but with Ironwood for the handle instead of Ivory I believe he made his test knife with. It's to bad he's not making too many knives these days he did make some nice bowies & fighters.

Hey Buddy,
Yep! It is pretty nice and the high ride Kathy Anders sheath is real nice as well.
I was hoping Steven P would see this and post one or two of his Anders examples, haven't seen him around much since he got married.
Maybe I'll go rattle his cage. :D

You said he owes you a knife, does that mean you have already paid for it? Just curious?

Yes knife cost was covered already

Sorry to hear that.

The Anders are good people, I'm sure Jerome will make good on it.
If you contact David, I'm sure he will pass a message on to Jerome.

Mrs. Anders passed away in late January.

Sorry to hear about Mrs. Anders,I had no idea,I had talked to her & David at several of the passed Blade Shows.I also talked to David last year at AK. show,& missed seeing him there this year.As for Jerome I haven't talked to him since 2005 Blade Show,& he asked not to involve his dad,& I will respect that wish.As for my knife, that deal was made at the 2003 Gulf Port MS. knife show,& I hold little hope of ever seeing it now.If you should see or talk to Mr Anders tell him sorry to hear about his loss,& thank you for your time
