After meeting Jerry exactly once at the Chicago Custom Knife Show I asked him if he'd be willing to donate a knife to a charity event that I help out with:

Its the Kevin T. Flanagan memorial scholarship fund:
http://www.kevintflanaganscholarship.org/

Kevin Flanagan died tragically two years ago, he was 25 years old, and a Chicago Police Officer. His family and friends have come together to raise money for a scholarship fund in his name, which is paying for tuition for several students at Kevin’s Alma Mater, St. Patrick High School. It is the board’s hope that the recipients will go into public service (not only was Kevin a Police Officer, but so were both of his parents, and his brother is a firefighter). There are currently two Kevin Flanagan scholars enrolled at Saint Patrick High School in Chicago. Tim is a freshman and Brandon is a sophomore. Donations are also made each year to local charities.

Today I recieved a Swamp Rat Bandicoot inscribed with "In Memory of Kevin," it will be an auction or raffle prize at our fundraiser on January 10th. Any Hogs or Rats in the area are more than welcome to come (better see you there Doorkicker....)

THANK YOU JERRY, and everyone else atTEAM BUSSE and SWAMP RAT!!!!

...awwwww crappp... that title should say SWAMP RAT- can a moderator fix it?? I can't edit the title...

Just a thought, but you might raise more if the forumites that cannot attend are somehow included in the auction.

I wish I could be there. I would definitely bid on that 'Coot.

The Busse Clan is indeed a generous one. The big guy donated a couple of blades to a worthy cause a while back for a friend of mine. The knives brought a good price and they both went to servicemen so they did double duty on the side of good. No one will ever say that these folks aren't givers, if they do they have to answer to a few of us.

Nice job, Jerry and Jennifer are definitely supporters of those serving others, military, police, fire.
