Jerry,

The NMFSH LE is a beautiful beast -- .3125" thick with a 9.5" blade. I love it ... but it is big and fat for my small mitts. Is there any chance you might do a .25-.27" anorexic version for the piglets among us? I know you can't tell us now with the Ganza only two days away ;) ... but inquiring minds want to know!

Here's another question: Will the overall grip/handle size of the NMFSH CG be the same as the LE? Mags, right?

If you score a CGNMFSH or NMFSH DC in the GAAANNNNZZZAAAA you could probably ask the Custom Shop to put thinner slabs on it for you. I guess it might cost you a few bucks but you will be getting the sweet .31 blade and a perfect fit..

The FSH that came out in 2004 was 8.00 inches with a 14.00 inch total, weight was 19.0 oz and it was 0.250 thick.

Man, that sounds like a perfect knife IMO. Sadly I did not know that Bussy existed in 2004. Sure hope for a reincarnation some time soon ;)

Great idea Lennox. Not sure it's possible to add thinner slabs to a Ganza knife, but worth asking about.

John

If they can't add thinner slabs, you can get hand sanded for a cost. If you want, you can also do the work your self!

I see FSH's come up for sale on the x quite frequently so if you check the x often you will be able to score one.. Another knife or knifes that might be something for you is the SFNO and the NMSFNO.. The SFNO has a 7 inch blade and it is 12.75 total with a .22 thick blade. . The NMSFNO has a 8 inch blade with a 14 inch total and is .25 thick... these also show up on the x quite often..

Lennox,

The SFNO and NMSFNO are great knives. The SFNO may be the best looking knife Busse has ever made (just throwin' that out there!) and the NMSFNO has great balance and feel in hand with its Special Forces handle.

That said, the Fusion handle is my favorite Busse handle, especially the version that's on the ASH-1, which is shorter (both handle and blade) than that of the NMFSH-LE.

John

Yeah the SFNO is a great looking knife :D I scored a SFNOLE not so long ago and i'm hoping to score a NMSFNOLE soon to keep it company.. My favorite handle however is the KZ2 handle, it feels like it was made for my hand :D..

Thanks Jerry Boss Hog

Fixed that for ya. ;)
There was a brief reincarnation as a sabre version back in 2009 as part of an offered set of 3 that were satin w/ hand shaped black canvas micarta at the Travelling Trough show I (one) in Easton Pa.

Occasionally, one might see one or two FSH/HH knives at a show like Knob Creek or at BLADE in Atl. Hopefully, the Crew gets back into doing these Travelling Trough (AKA Travelling Trunk) shows again as well. They were a lotta fun! :)

Jaxx,

That is a seriously beautiful set of knives. I came to Busse a little too late to score an original FSH, SJTAC, or Meaner but did manage to pick up a couple of SJTACs along the way (SE version and Embrace the Suck) -- great knives, maybe the go-to knife for both defense and utility. That said, there is something unique about the FSH -- balanced, tough, and strong, and it's on the Busse logo! Would love to own one some day. Meaner is nice too but the Boss Street remains my favorite smaller Busse, especially the .22" hollow ground version with Black Paper.
