a new cutting board.

My wife and I were cooking for a family meal on Christmas. She was trying to slice a couple of squash :barf: and was having trouble with our large kitchen knife. Busse to the rescue! I grab my trusty SH and go to work. Chopped those suckers right up. Also chopped through the thin, flexible plastic cutting board my wife uses for veggies  Fortunately it didn't get to the counter top :)

So for all the critics who say a Busse won't slice :p they are wrong, you just need an INFI-proof cutting board.

I'm surprised the countertop was unaffected :D

I've done similar things myself. I bet your wife wasn't too impressed

I'm a bit surprised about the counter as well, and quite relieved.
this was me when I noticed the slice through the board

This is the sort of thing my wife has come to expect, so no big drama there. :D

Ouch!Almost did that to my self two months ago. It ain't fun at all, Trust me. The doc says I should be able to gain most (if not all) of the use back in my hand again. Ain't micro surgery wonderfull. Do to my accident, my friends won't let me use or buy any more big knives for a while. Guess I won't be trying a Busse in the kitchen for a while.

I got a little crazy with a SHBM and made some 1/8" deep cuts in my mothers wood cutting board. A few days later my brother in law and I took turns chopping down a 14" diameter oak tree. It took about 45 minutes.
Arn't in laws great? Well at least mine are:D
