A collector commissioned me to make a sheath for this fine bowie knife. Maybe Jerry can fill in the details on the knife.

fun to see how acanthus has become everyone's model in so many art forms and media. Looks great on leather tooling no doubt.

The sheath looks good David. Good match up on the tooling.
The handle is ancient Walrus, the blade is a Trail of Tears pattern Damascus. The stainless guard is all scratched up. I never ran across anything in the knife industry with such a long learning curve as engraving does. Of course if you had talent that would be different. I realize I have little but what I do have is a determination to "get that line" right and to add new lines when I can. I practice a new line or leaf structure over and over till I get it to where I can put it on.

Beautiful set--David, your "deep relief" scroll-pattern tooling is really evolving to an art form in itself. You absolutely nailed it on this one.

Wicked fighter clip on that blade; very special look with the golden ivory and that sheath.

Outstanding!! You nailed it. The carving is so spot on for this fantastic Fisk Bowie. Thanks for sharing and welcome to Blade Forums.

Thanks, spot on.

I agree that it a great knife and sheath!

Both the colors and engraving/tooling match up well.

Outstanding Fisk Bowie complemented by just the right sheath.
I love how David varies his sheaths designs, you never know what to expect except that
it will be beautiful.

Thanks, gentlemen. Your comments are really appreciated. This fine knife goes home tomorrow to a very enthusiastic owner.
