Well the sixth Jerry Fisk Micro Show has come and gone. I believe I can say with confidence that everyone in attendance had a very good time.
I've always though of Jerry as an innovator and his small show concept has proven to be a successful format for not only his own but a handful of others around the country even in the poor economy of the last several years.
I believe much of the success can be attributed to the right mix of friendship/camaraderie amount those attending, great food, entertainment, education and of course the fine custom knives.
The Fisk Show has practically become a "homecoming" of sorts for those who attend year after year along while also being a place to meet new friends who share a common interest.
The Fisk Show always officially starts on Friday morning with a group excursion even thought many of us get together on Thursday night at a fine local restaurant.
So let's start with this year's group excursion which was a very entertaining and beautiful trip on Arkansas's White River looking for Alligators
Here we have (L to R) Paul Kessler, Chuck Kerwin, Jim Treacy and Jerry Fisk.
Jerry is holding his personal "cutter" for 2010. Cutter is much an under statement as not only will it easily cut hanging 1" hemp rope but will also sever it clean with one slice with the rope being thrown into the air.
Someone obviously told the locals that we were coming to town and something about Don being used as Alligator bait. They were waiting to get in on the action.

Looks pretty and tranquil doesn't it? Well, that may change in a hurry if you get in the water.
Absolutely Beautiful. Perfect weather for a perfect stroll down the river.
Anyone want to play spot the Gator?
How about here? Don't worry if you can't as you will get a MUCH closer look in a latter post.
