You may have seen this one if you followed the threads about Jerry Fisk's annual 'Scoundrels and Scalawags Symposium.'
Jerry said, "It is only the second NLT marked field knife I have marked so. All in all my thought is that it is the best Sendero that I have made.
Fully engraved with deep relief, It has the most gold I have put on a field knife.
The mammoth ivory has red from gold bearing ground and the blues I think is from silver.
So that is why I inlaid the gold, to put the gold back next to the mammoth ivory were it has been for centuries.
The blade is a W pattern with wolf tooth Damascus. The steels in the blade are from the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the Statue of Liberty.
There was more work with this rascal than many bowie knives I have made."

Great Shot Buddy

This knife was even more beautiful in person - it was the knife I coveted most from the show!

alas, my number wasn't called....

Bill - Thanks! I also felt those covetous notions stirring inside! Thought about asking Jerry if I could quick pay the registration fee and throw in for that one over the phone. Not just any 'ole knife will make ya think like that! ;)

That is insane. The touches of gold on the bolster and pommel greatly illuminate the golden tones, blues, all the colors in the ivory. But it's just a touch of gold, more would overwhelm the cool temperature look of it. The control of color is masterful.

On top of that it really looks like a nice, comfortable, very usable knife, LOL!

Not sure I've seen a more beautiful piece of ivory which Buddy, really brings to life here.
Jerry's made a lot of beautiful Senderos over the years and this ones my favorite.
