I also am confused about this; I believe Jerry himself said it was on the original thread. This just does not look like a an LB kinda knife though. Having said that however, although the blade is 11in and stock 5/16, the flat grind and swedge may keep the actual and perceived weight down a bit.

I am a little lost on the Rodent trail. Does this mean I can order a blank as each slab has a different cost. Yes I get it, but if I can order the blank I would. I would assume e base knife would be black at a certain price point and then all other changes would add cost?

I'm a bit confused by this. It appears all the handle options are additional $$. Is it available at the standard price with standard handles? Or must we add $$ for the handle option of our choice? I'd think micarta would be the standard option.

Yeah, the rodent trail confused me as well because it does not indicate what the base 168- comes with; only what the up charge is for G10. I would think the base price is tan or blk canvas, but one cannot assume. Good thread Resin.

We can let it go as I am sure JB had contributing factors.
1 he was drunk
2 he has multiple young children so I assume a serious lack of sleep
3 he just had a wedding anniversary and was probably drained of mental acuity
4 he puts up with all our BS so he gets some slack.
5 all of the above and we are just whining.

I do recall that post, Will; just surprised that Jerry didn't specify it as part of the specs.

I see a CG grade version in my future, just asking questions to clarify things.

$747. For a blade. Yeah you can ask all the questions you want. For me the $200 I am dropping in a RT is difficult to swallow.

Consider it done! I deleted my cam scanner app so this is the best I've got for right now.
From what I can tell loading them to photobucket took away the clarity. Before I uploaded you could read the words and now you can't...

No problem! It was a very interesting read and good background info mixed with humor. I think my favorite part was about Dan sneaking supplies out of the dumpster.
