I got to spend a little time with Jerry Hossom at the Blade Show this year. Jerry's a fine guy, tops in my book, and makes an incredible knife. I posted a pic of the Hunter-Killer I picked up at Blade earlier, but finally got a chance to get a group shot of some matching Hossoms in ivory micarta...

I'd love to see some pics of more Hossoms, post them if you got them :thumbup:
 
What no dog tag? JK Eli, awsome collection. That retribution is huge. I have on the way so I'll post pics hen it arrives. Disappointed that you didn't post any leather though!

I chose that small Vengeance (he calls it a ladies' vengeance) over a Dog Tag, and now I wish I would have taken the DT instead... Someday.

I've been slacking on leatherwork, out of this pic, only the Massive Retribution is sheathed. I need to get busy!

Looking foward to seeing what you have incoming...
 
Nothing major just a 9" blade retribution. Couldn't pick it up at Blade so he is mailing to me. Waiting on him to offer up some 3V or a dog tag or a massive kopis....

Yeah, I was actually lucky enough to get that one. I'm totally waiting on that 3V.

Definitely in my top ten favourite knife making dudes:thumbup:
 
Wow! Eli, the customs you have chosen over the past year shows just what good taste you have. I think I'll just let you pick me out a couple at Blade next year:p

Thanks Kevin. Jerry is incredible at these deep hollow grinds -- but leaving a "meaty" convex edge. If you could feel these blades, they are actually "thinner" in the center of the hollow grind than they are just behind the edge. He takes off as much material as possible without reducing it to a fragile state.

It cannot be easy to do... He has himself admitted to going too deep frequently, and having to toss blades, in his attempt to make them lighter/faster.
