I ordered a BWM on 21/12/09 and in all the excitment of the Ganzaa I have added a BOSS Street to my order and I am also scouring the forum for a nice user or 2. I'm what you call a returning customer !!

How many others have done the same - $12,000 for this type of advertising is a bargain !! Think about how many new hogs there were on the forum last night ;) Jerry is a genius !!

Don't get me wrong the gesture is still very, very generous and much appreciated !! It's not often successful companies give something back - hats off to you Boss Hog !!

Jerry is absolutely a marketing genius - he cultivates not just customers or fans, but a family.

A dysfunctional, trough stomping, herd of lunatics, but doesn't that describe most families? :D

You think that was insane - try to make it to BLADE sometime. Random passers-by on the show floor just look on in awe at the madness of the INFI trough. People line up on the outskirts of the HOGs, wondering what freebies are being handed out, to draw the largest crowd at the show...

Only later do they realize that that huge crowd of people eagerly shoving to get to the front are doing so for the privilege to BUY SOMETHING. Other knife companies can't even get a crowd that big when they give something away for free

Hey Brendan... Glad you're here. ;) You have the Stuff HOGS are made from.

I'd love to, reckon if I start swimming now I might make it for June

Thanks Bro, I used to post on here frequently and then went away and had a few kids, found out what working your arse off actually means and kind of lost my passion for knives for a while. It's good to be back !!

Funny but also completely true. At BLADE, Garth and Amy were handing out the sleeves for a trough offering of HG55's. I was standing near the back, because the HG55 doesn't do anything for me, so I backed up when I saw what was being offered, to make room for another HOG.

People were yelling "I'll take it!" while they tossed the sleeves out into the crowd, and folks were jumping up to snag the sleeves, like maniacs...

A guy walks up and says "whoah, what's going on here?". And I explained the trough - that they were handing out the sleeves, which reserved the knife for you, and you could present the sleeve to one of the booth workers to claim the knife and pay for it. He just gave me this dumbfounded look and said "you mean to tell me all these people are lined up to PAY for something?" and I went "yup!". He sort of wandered off aimlessly, looking very confused.

When I describe the 'Ganza' to the uninitiated...

I explain that I press 'F5' for a solid hour, hoping to win the CHANCE to purchase a knife I'm interested in.

Gotta love it !

No Regrets

:D

That guy was definately not an INFI fan or he would have understood. :D

it's crazy when you say it like that

What other knife Company can you take out one of their products and beat the crap out of it, abuse it terribly all the while it's asking for more? ;)

Then on top of it the knife still looks new after you clean it up.

UMMMMMMM INFI I I Must Have More:eek: :) You guys are right one great product/Knives.

I work in the ad industry and social media is the latest buzzword with tons of companies trying, and making serious mistakes with this 'new' way of engaging customers when, in reality it is making use of customer advocacy.

Jerry simply has it nailed. Really impressive the way the knives are marketed and he turns the customers in advocates that are more extreme than any other brand I have come across.

Just amazing.
